Today's reading & meditation: Do not be angry, be reconciled

Gospel Reading: Matthew 5:20-26
Old Testament Reading: Ezekiel 18:21-28
Meditation: Do you allow sin or anger to master your life? The first person to hate his brother was Cain. God warned Cain: 'Why are you angry? ..Sin in couching at the door; it's desire is for you, but you must master it (Genesis 4:6-7). Sin doesn't just happen; it first grows as a seed in one's heart. Unless it is mastered, by God's grace, it grows like a weed and chokes the life out of us. Jesus addressed the issue of keeping the commandments with his disciples. The scribes and Pharisees equated righteousness with satisfying the demands of the law. Jesus showed them how short they had come. Jesus points to the heart as the seat of desire, choice, and intention....................(read more here) take a moment to read this and meditate. You'll see the different. you'll become more peaceful in the heart. ♥

A Daily Quote for Lent: Are you ashamed to ask pardon? by Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, 354-430 A.D.

Hope this can inspire you as it does to me. The Gospel reading today really touch my heart. I realize that i'm easily mad, especially in my relationship with my boyfriend (my soon to be fiance). Easily merajuk, crybaby...I admit that I'm kind of manja girl. But the good thing is i'm quick to be reconciled. Apa pun, still need to get rid of this bad habit. Try to be more patient, more understanding and forgiving towards all. For couples out there including me, reflect this verse;
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 New International Version (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Have a blessed day ahead everyone. God bless ♥
